Hunter Pyle will receive the Presidential Award from the Consumer Attorneys of California’s President, Kathryn Stebner, on November 14, 2024, for his work on the committee that negotiated the 2024 amendments to California’s Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”). Those amendments resulted in the ballot initiative that would have gutted PAGA being removed from the November 2024 ballot, thus preserving a critical tool for workers who have suffered wage and hour violations. This award will be presented during CAOC’s November Board of Directors meeting at the CAOC 63rd Annual Convention, to be held on Thursday, November 14th at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
