Each year, the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) hosts a two-and-a-half-day conference that provides attendees with legal updates, practical skills, and fresh perspectives on a variety of employment law issues. The conference is part of CELA’s continuing efforts to protect and expand the legal rights and opportunities of all California workers and to strengthen the community of lawyers who represent them.

This 2024 conference took place from November 7 through November 9, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California.

Four HPL attorneys spoke at CELA’s 37th Annual Employment Law Conference, held in San Diego in November 2024. Their panels included:

Navigating Work Live/Agreements and Identifying Labor and Housing Claims for Resident Managers and Living On-Site Workers (Katie Fiester)

998 Offers and Workers Rights: Strategies and Exemptions when Dealing with Statutory Offers to Compromise (Jake Darin)

The Year in Review – Employment Law (Drea Núñez)

Wage and Hour Update 2024 (Hunter Pyle)
