Jake Darin moderates CLE, “COVID in the Workplace, from Theory to Reality”
On September 28, 2022, Jake Darin served as moderator for the Alameda County Bar Association’s CLE, “COVID in the Workplace, from Theory to Reality: Whistleblowers, Accommodations, and the No-Size-Fits-All Challenge of COVID-19,” as part of the County Bar’s annual Labor & Employment Symposium.
Throughout lockdown, employers and attorneys wondered at the legal issues COVID-19 might pose once employees returned to the workplace. Now a reality, how has COVID played out in the workplace and in litigation? This panel will feature speakers from a variety of practice backgrounds speaking to their experience in the field, and the ways they have learned to prepare for, prevent, and respond to workplace claims created by COVID-19. Whistleblower actions, accommodations for religious exemptions and workers with disabilities, and industry-specific impacts and approaches will be discussed.
