Mr. Chen joined the firm in 2017. Prior to joining Hunter Pyle Law, he litigated wage and hour cases against large corporate employers for a plaintiff-side firm in Oakland. The focus of his practice is devoted to protecting workers’ rights, and Mr. Chen represents employees in both individual and class cases, including wage and hour, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination disputes. He is a strong supporter of a workers’ right and believes that all workers deserve to be treated with fairness and dignity in the workplace.
Mr. Chen received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2015. During law school he participated in UC Hastings’ Workers’ Rights Clinic and Civil Justice Clinic. As a student in the Civil Justice Clinic, he successfully represented a worker seeking unpaid wages in court. He is also a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and Alameda County Bar Association Labor/Employment Section.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Chen served as a legal investigator for several governmental agencies. As the son of Taiwanese immigrants, he is conversant in Mandarin Chinese.
